Mercury in Retrograde – a period of time on the astrological calendar that is infamous for putting a wrench in routine and causing havoc on affected individuals. Across social media, a joke was made of the period of time with people blaming all personal problems on the retrograde period
Recognizing the crossover between McDonald’s fans and people that either regularly joke about the phenomenon or are in touch with their horoscope, the McDonald's team decided to send out comfort kits for these individuals to let them know that there is consistency in this time of ruckus.
Brand fans were highly receptive to the kit, with three of them sharing their excitement around the gifts on social media.
